Several members of the Mouth of the Platte Chapter from the Omaha, NE area attended the 2008 Annual Meeting in Great Falls during the first two weeks of August. A Pre-Meeting canoe adventure on the Upper Missouri and White Cliffs Area appealed to 4 seasoned and able travelers, Della, La Nell, Florence, and Mary, who were graciously referred to as “The Golden Girls” throughout the 2 1/2 day adventure on the beautiful Missouri. Sporting the proper “river equipment”, the four MOP members enjoyed the long, sunny days on the river, the scenic beauty of the White Cliffs, the delicious food prepared by the Montana Outfitters, and the friendships renewed and shared by all those on the trip. Even a late afternoon rainstorm brought great memories to add to a truly exciting adventure!
