On the Oregon side of the Columbia River Bridge of the Gods in Cascade Locks, there is a Lewis and Clark commemorative painting. The entire pier is covered with scenes from the Corps of Discovery. The work was done by Larry Kangas and was completed in 2002. While the painting is still worth seeing, there are definite signs of deterioration. Even with this, it is a sight worth stopping to see if you are traveling through the Columbia River Gorge. These photos were taken by my husband in 2009.
