Welcome to the Trail Travel (7) Montana to the Rockies section. 
The Great Falls of the Missouri located at Great Falls, MT, even with the modern day dams, are still a spectacular site.  What an obstacle they must have presented for the Corps of Discovery.  The first picture was taken in September of 2005, looking over the cliff just west of the Interpertive Center, towards the Black Eagle falls and dam.
The second picture is one that was taken of the Great Falls about 1972.
