I am currently available for talks and tours. I have many talks to offer; as those of you who have read my book, blogs or newsletter are aware. Generally I agree to talk on the subject suggested by the person who contacts me, or we work something out. I have a digital projector for Power Point presentations.
Before writing the Lewis and Clark Road Trips book, I gave tours in the Omaha-Council Bluffs area on early history.
I am now getting back to this. I strongly believe in the importance of linking history to place. As I drive around our area, I am often thinking of who was here and what was happening 200 years ago. It is just interesting to imagine!
What with the maps on the forums, all of us can link the story of the Lewis and Clark Expedition to where it happened.
Current Talks are:
“The Death of Meriwether Lewis: Murder or Suicide?”
“Sacagawea and her Children: the Story of their Lives”
“Lewis and Clark Day Trips in the Omaha-Council Bluffs Area”
“The Story of Early Council Bluffs: Famous Fur Traders, Explorers and Indians”
If an organization was to invite me to travel, I would enjoy getting some kind of area tour going also.
